Staffing Announcement – A/Commander, Community Safeguard Services

I am pleased to announce that Colin Sindall will be starting a temporary assignment as Acting Commander, Community Safeguard Services, effective June 12, 2024. In this role, Colin will lead the Division’s preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and will report to Acting Deputy Chief Melanie Jordison.

Colin joined Toronto Paramedic Services in 2005 as a Primary Care Paramedic. In 2014, he joined the leadership team as an Acting Superintendent in Operations, working in District 4 and District 1. In 2015, Colin was assigned to the Pan-Am and ParaPan-Am Games and Signature Events Command Team. Colin was promoted to Operations Superintendent in 2017 and was assigned to the Special Operations Unit in 2018, where he worked until 2023. During his time in Special Operations, Colin led the CBRNE team, ARU program, TTC program, Marine Unit and the Emergency Support Units. Colin was assigned to the District 3 Administrative Superintendent role in 2023, and most recently provided leadership support for Equipment Services.

Colin is a graduate of the Durham College Paramedic program and the Durham College Business Administration – Operations Management graduate certificate program.
