Staffing Announcement – Commander, Communications Systems Engineering (Clinical Data Systems)


I am pleased to announce that Tim Ednie is the successful candidate for the position of Commander, Communications Systems Engineering (Clinical Data Systems), effective April 17, 2024.

Tim began his career with Toronto Paramedic Services in 2000, and has worked as a Primary Care Paramedic, Paramedic Level 2, Advanced Care Paramedic, Field Training Officer, Superintendent and Acting Commander in Education & Development, and most recently as Superintendent in the Professional Standards Unit.

Tim has supported the Division’s clinical data systems for over 14 years, including leading the rebuild of the ePCR system in 2022 and the development and introduction of quality assurance and reporting tools. He has also supported the business needs of the Division by leading a team to develop and support business process tools and facilitating the introduction of new City software.

Tim graduated from the Algonquin College Ambulance and Emergency Care Program in 1995, and has completed programs in IT Systems Engineering, Data Science, and Information Systems Security.
