World Suicide Prevention Day

Every year on September 10, we recognize World Suicide Prevention Day – an opportunity to increase awareness and understanding about suicide, and the impact it has on those affected by it. Even small actions can make a difference, and we can all help create hope through action. More info is available online.

Please take a moment to step back and examine your own well-being. Your mental health matters, and remember that it’s okay to not be okay.

Tomorrow also marks the 20th anniversary of 9/11 when thousands of lives were lost, including many first responders. If you, or someone you know is struggling for any reason, please reach out to one of the many resources available to you:

  • City of Toronto Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Take care, and stay safe.
